Welcoming Clarissa to the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center

 

At the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center, our work is grounded in the belief that every girl and young woman deserves the opportunity to thrive, realize her potential, and contribute meaningfully to her community. Achieving this vision requires dedicated leaders who understand the power of relationships, advocacy, and community investment. It is with great excitement that I welcome Clarissa Fleurimond as our new Director of Development.

 

Clarissa joins the Policy Center with an impressive background in nonprofit advancement, higher education, donor engagement, communications, and community outreach. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to build meaningful connections between supporters and the organizations they serve, creating pathways for lasting impact and sustainable growth.

 

In her role as Director of Development, Clarissa will lead our fundraising, donor engagement, stewardship, and communications efforts. She will oversee initiatives that strengthen relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, and community stakeholders while guiding the strategic development activities that support our mission. Additionally, she will help elevate the Policy Center’s voice through communications, marketing, digital engagement, and public-facing outreach, ensuring that the stories of the girls and young women we serve continue to inspire our community.

 

Clarissa brings valuable experience from her time at the University of North Florida, where she managed scholarship and development initiatives and played an important role in donor stewardship and fundraising efforts that benefited students and academic programs. Her expertise in cultivating partnerships, planning impactful events, and advancing organizational goals has been evident throughout her professional journey.

 

What stands out most about Clarissa is her passion for empowering others through education, advocacy, and philanthropy. She understands that meaningful change happens when people come together around a shared purpose. Her commitment to service aligns beautifully with the Policy Center’s mission and our belief that strong communities are built through collaboration, trust, and investment in future generations.
