The Girl-Centered Practice© Institute (GCPI) combines cutting edge research, expert speakers, interactive activities for a dynamic learning experience beneficial to anyone who served girls in a personal and professional capacity. 

Participants include professionals and students in fields including: education, social services, child protection, mental health,  law enforcement and juvenile justice, even coaches and volunteer mentors. 

The Girl-Centered Practice Institute offers valuable learning and skill building grounded in research-based practices key to effectively addressing the needs of girls, young women and youth who identify as female. Participants will learn strategies for translating research into policies, practices and programs that prioritize the safety, dignity, and equitable treatment of girls.

This annual two-day conference welcomes dynamic experts and powerful speakers from across the country to build community and introduce innovative programming, advocacy, and research that challenges individuals to shift how they respond to girls.

Learn and share with professionals and community advocates from across the country from fields including: 
juvenile justice, mental health, advocacy, education, healthcare, child welfare, students, research, philanthropy, and community activism.

Customized Trainings

The Policy Center offers organizational assessments, trainings, and technical assistance that create environments which encourage girls and young women to grow and excel. We train professionals to better understand girls unique needs and how to best respond to them. We provide on-site assessment of the gender-responsiveness of policies and practices through listening sessions with girls, staff and girl surveys, documentation review, interviews and facility observation. Findings will inform strategic planning.
