The Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center recognizes the importance of community involvement in the development and implementation of systemic changes for girls and young women. The Policy Center facilitates listening sessions throughout the county, helps communities define their focus areas, identifies solutions and works within a community team to develop strategies for meeting goals. Within a framework of community-based decision making, the Policy Center works with community stakeholders to cultivate and analyze data for the purpose of informing the creation of a comprehensive strategy to improve the lives of girls in the context of their community and to inform decision makers and policymakers.
