2016 Summit Frequently Asked Questions
Are there hotels nearby?
There are two hotels on downtown Jacksonville’s Northbank. The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is two blocks from the Jessie Ball duPont Center on 225 E. Coastline Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32202. Subject to availability, they have a discounted rate available. Online, use code NONP, for the discounted rate which applies to standard rooms only. When calling (904.588.1234), ask for in house reservations and request the Non-Profit Rate.
The Omni Hotel is also within walking distance, located at 245 Water St, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Reservations: 904.355.6664. Across the bridge on the Southbank there are several more choices, many within walking distance. There is a people mover connecting both sides of the river and water taxis are also available.
If I’ve registered but am unable to attend, can I get a refund?
Yes, but refunds will not be available if you cancel after October 13th.
Can I register the morning of the Summit?
Is it possible to change my workshop choices?
Your workshop choices cannot be changed the day of the Summit, but we may be able to change your choices in advance.
Where do I park?
There are two lots within one block of the Jessie Ball duPont Center. LAZ is a surface lot offering a day rate of $5.00. It is located at 110 E. Forsyth Street. The lot can be accessed from Forsyth, Newnan and Adams Streets. The Yates Parking Garage is located at 231 E. Adams St. The day rate is $7.00.
Does the Summit offer discounted rates?
Yes, $179 is the early bird rate has been extended through Friday, October 7th. Currently enrolled students are offered a discounted rate of $99.
Are CEUs available?
Yes. Each workshop provides 1.5 CEUs. For attendees participating in the morning and afternoon sessions of both days, a total of 6 CEUs are available.
Is there anything going on downtown in the evening during the Summit?
Celtic Thunder Legacy is an exciting new live show that celebrates the influence of Irish and Celtic music around the world and the imprint that such music has made. This is a one-time event being held at the Times Union Center for Performing Arts on Thursday evening from 7:30 pm to 12:00 am. For more information visit the FSCJ Artist Series website.
